Acupuncture

Acupuncture has been practised for thousands of years - possibly dating back to the Bronse Age and in China today it is part of routine treatment.  It is believed that Acupuncture restores the flow of Qi (Chee).  This life force is an energy that flows through our bodies in channels called Meridians.  If these channels cannot flow freely, then it is believed that Acupuncture can repair them.  Treatment involves using about 30mm pre sterilised diposable needles, which are fine & solid.  These are inserted into specific acupuncture points around the body.  It is believed there are about 500 points.  The insertion of needles should not cause any pain, only a dull ache or tingling.  Treatments last from 20 to 40 minutes and you could be advised to have between 6 to 12 treatments depending on your treatment or Acupuncturist.  Acupuncture is a complimentary or alternative medicine.
